Wings of wind - Industrial Vintage Chandelier E27 Pendant Light Ceiling Lamp Colorful Glass Lampshade (Dark Blue)

Well I was pleasantly surprised how top end they look for the price .. gorgeous blue colour

Bought this one as the only shade that both the wife and I liked for our hallway. Was simple enough to install the black ceiling rose and trim the wire to desired length. Fixing the shade to the ceiling was a bit harder as my big sausage fingers didn't fit inside but we got there eventually. Installed an E27 bulb (not supplied) and turned on the light and that is kind of where it went a bit awry.The shade doesn't hang quite straight, the collar that holds the shade is slightly smaller than the hole in the shade and I have not been able to get the thing dead centre (maybe my fat sausage fingers again). Also switching on reveals all of the imperfections with the colouring of the glass, small scratches and smears and nit of polystyrene packaging that gets stuck inside and which again my fingers cant reach to remove.I have buffed and polished the shade as best I can and upped the wattage of the e12 bulb used (not supplied, did I mention that) to mask these imperfections and it is OK. We are going to live with it as it looks really nice during the day when the light is off.

It's really great but the packaging is terrible Styrofoam 😕 and it gets inside the shade and hard to get it out...

The price should have provided quality. Although the glass is nice the rest of the electrical fittings and wires are some of the lowest quality ever. I would have sent them straight back if if I did not really want the glass shade. I changed out all the wiring and fittings to get them to an acceptable standard. If your not able to do this yourself stay away.

Spent along time looking for the correct lampshade to match our dining area. Unfortunately the shade did not hang horizontally, despite repeated attempts to correct it, which we consider most likely to be due to the shape of the opening in the glass where the electrical fitting for the lamp holder passes through the glass at the top of the shade.
