Q: How does this girth hold up in equitation?...is anyone experiencing any slippage? Im concerned about the fleece...i am used to riding with a neoprene

I have never experience slippage and with this girth my horses are not getting rub abrasions as they did with neoprene. As long as it is properly tightened , you should not have a problem with jumps. Having said that, I am obsessive about adjusting my girth and will often lean down and readjust mid ride or ask assistant to do it (if on a closed course) if I feel it necessary.

It really depends on how far down your billet straps come. Ideally use a tape measure to measure from the middle of one billet strap under the horse's belly to the other. This girth has elastic ends, so it will stretch some. If your saddle or billet straps are new, it may also stretch some. I don't think there's a 'universal' size, but my daughter used her 46" girth on several different sized horses. 44" is better for her plump large pony, and 48" is better for a big warmblood, but it really depends on the horse's shape.

No, but I just wash the entire girth. Have been for years and all mine are still in good shape
