These are not 'driver free' they install a driver from the dongle its self if you let it run.If you do not do this the adaptor does not show in device manger in windowsOn my Linux box the Wifi adaptor does not start but the Bluetooth does ( may need to change Kernel )They do come with a mini CD with the driver on for Mac ( not tested )

Either my wifi or usb has moments when the ping shoots up. Works well for games and everyday use. No additional drivers needed install wad a plug in and go product.

I bought this to setup windows on a new PC. My new PC needed a wifi driver for the onboard wifi to work. This claims to be "driver free" and yet it did not work without drivers. You are better off just plugging in your phone and using that in a tethered USB wifi connection.

This wifi dongle gave new life to an old laptop, increasing my download speed from 40 to in excess of 120 with a max of 195! The dongle also gives me Bluetooth connection. You can purchase without any reservations.

I have purchased a couple of these and they are great for adding the latest Wi-Fi specifications to old laptops with the added benefit of adding Bluetooth also. They have greatly improved by ten year old Toshiba and an 8 year old netbook, neither of which had n spec Wi-Fi.
