Possibly the best game of 2021
I was expecting to enjoy this game. I was not expecting to love this game. Guardians of the Galaxy is so much fun it fills a void of great Marvel games I wasn't aware I was missing. (Not including Spiderman) This game feels like a Guardians movie, but doesn't just mimic it. The game is in it's own universe and it is truly amazing to see how different the characters may look or act from their movie counter parts. In the game you play exclusively as Starlord while people may claim they are disappointed they haven't actually played the game if they are. You do only play him but you command the other 4 members at the same time. Each have their own skills and uses not once do you think you will keep using Groot or Rocket and never touch the others. You also must use them in the fights. Some of the battles can get a bit hairy and if you tried to just play it without your teammates then I have no clue how you will complete the game honestly. The boss fights and enemy types are all interesting and different. The game may be 16 hours long but it also doesn't ever feel like the same thing over and over again. The game looks amazing and feels amazing. The environments never feel like the same area and each bring their own very cool and interesting looking baddies. The soundtrack is something I am so glad that Square invested in. If you love 80s music that alone will sell you with this game. I had a unscripted moment where the Guardians were going to hunt a creature and the music in the background decided to start playing Kickstart my Heart. I was ready and pumped.Overall the game is just truly amazing and not something to wait on. Square knocked it out of the park and I am excited to either see them do a sequel or tackle another Marvel property. This is a must BUY.

One Of The Best Games Of 2021. Must Play For All Guardians Fans!
This game pleasantly surprised me. From the very beginning of the game you are immediately engaged into the story of Peter Quill and his journey with the Guardians Of The Galaxy. The story is top notch, voice acting matches each of the characters personalities and the music, OH THE MUSIC! is absolutely phenomenal. Really love the Huddle team attack then facing some tough enemies as it adds to the games already fun gameplay. Graphically, it's definitely one of the best looking games on PS5. Im usually not to crazy about going about collecting collectable items, but this game really pushed me to do so just to engage in the different dialogue options with the rest of the guardians team.I can't recommend this game enough. If you are on the fence about it wait for a sale, but trust me, its totally worth it!

Great solo adventure for GotG fans
In a time where gaming has been relegated to loot boxes, mmo’s, and microtransactions, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is a breathe of fresh air as you play as Star-Lord and lead your band of misfits in a HILARIOUS single player, third person shooter. This is a game where you can enjoy literally just walking around with your team due to their witty banter. Just FANTASTIC writing! Despite not being an open-world, you will enjoy just about every environment you go to. If you think the game isn’t challenging enough, you can always ramp it up and get blown to smithereens by a Nova Centurion. The only negative thing I can say about it is the combat gets really repetitive, though if you’re a fan of any shooting game, that’s a non-issue. The challenge is finding the right strategy, and using your team members special abilities. The real reason to buy this game is really the story. You will get all of the feels!Buy this now!

Surprisingly Good
I'd consider myself fairly well versed in the Marvel comics. I was reading the Guardians of the Galaxy (GotG) comics during the mid-2000s re-imagining of the team. I'm okay with the MCU versions, but I digress. I was cautiously optimistic about this game because of how much influence it seemed the MCU had on it, but I pre-ordered it anyway. I really enjoyed this game. The developers blended the comics history and MCU into a perfect blend to welcome fans coming from either side. The art direction meant that every scene popped with color and vibrancy; the soundtrack was a great collection of classic rock, metal, and pop from the 70s and 80s; and the story is pretty good. The combat is a bit basic and repetitive, but it does the job. By far the best part of the game is the near-constant banter among the team members. I honestly felt bad whenever I pushed too far ahead in a mission and cut off a line of dialogue. Drax and Groot are handled the best, but the game as a whole is just a joy to play.

I loved this.
I'm a huge fan of the movies, it's probably my favorite Marvel franchise, though I've never read the comics and am completely in the dark when it comes to that version of the GotG. However I was so surprised how much this version of the characters grew on me.To keep it brief, the story is really well done, the voice acting is awesome and the script is on point. Plus as an added bonus the graphics are fantastic. The closest thing I can compare this to is Ratchet & Clank but with the Guardians and controlling multiple characters in combat. If any of this sounds fun to you and you like this franchise there is absolutely no reason not to give this game a go. Plus there's absolutely no crap hidden away in this- it is 100% a single player experience with new outfits and things discovered through gameplay.Overall just a really polished fun game and one I'm very happy to have took a chance on and purchased.
