Pick this one!!!
I used to purchase many different puberty books and review them for parents. This book was by far my favorite resource for girls/parents who are soon to start or have just started period conversations. The comic is a gentle medium to start the conversation which can feel awkward for many. It is informative, and gentle. Many other girls puberty books are too wordy or go on about body image problems, when that isn’t and essential part of the conversation, nor something all girls think about even. This book does a great job of keeping the attention of girls, providing good information, and not getting lost in side issues.

Perfect for tweens and first book for girls entering puberty
I did tons of research for a book on puberty and menstruation for my 10 yr old. All the books I found had reviews saying that it covered sex, and boys, and body image, one I found even had a chapter on celebrities and social media. I wanted a book for my 10 yr old daughter, who does not need all that..yet at least. I wanted a book about periods and not a book on sex, nor social media, and especially if your child does not have body image issues why even plant that seed. For this reason, I want to hold onto the innocence just a little bit longer. I need her to learn about her body changing such as breasts, hair, hygiene, and most important menstruation. This book is in a comic form, which makes it fun, and also has the question/answer storyline. I reviewed it, and did not feel at all uncomfortable giving it to my daughter to read alone. It covers all about the body changing, and menstruation, and what happens, etc. I highly recommend for parents looking for a book not geared to cover every issue in the world for older teens. This is a great puberty and period book.

Truly amazing
I wish I had a book like this when I was going through puberty x years ago where it was such a taboo subject. When I approached my daughter initially (she's 9), she was hesitant and not at all keen to know. This comic book, with illustrations that are in current times is smart, diverse (relating to different cultures) real and thoughtful. Also covers boys as well. My daughter and I sat in her bed and read it together. A great winner. Thank you.

Perfect!
I gave this book to my daughter so she and her daughter could read it together. My daughter said it was very age-appropriate and didn’t put any ideas into her head. It was factual, clinical without sounding clinical, very easy to read, and when they got done they said it was a great experience. She was very grateful she had the book.
