Q: Is the material fire retardant?

Nope. Pretty sure it's Cotton. But can't imagine it would resist fire.

Q: What is the actual screen/fabric width? The descriptions all say it's 6ft wide, but the purchase options only show 5ft wide by 6.5 or 9.5 length.

Mine is about 5' x 6.5'. Just did a quick tape measure.

Q: The adjustment knob 2 doesnt lock the bar. Any suggestions

I have never had any problems with mine. It is stable and stays adjusted wherever I set it, but I'm using it indoors with no extra weight except the clips and green fabric.
