The first basemans mitt was in excellent condition. I was surprised considering the price was so reasonable. The player loves it.

Good glove, but it's made for female
It is not clear from Mizuno website, reviews and Amazon that is female specific glove. I am a man and have fairly large hands. My fingers fit in, the only discomfort I had was the neoprene padding on the inside of the wrist strap wasn't lining up and covering the top of my wrist like it was intended, so the edge is kind of digging into my hand. I thought that was weird and did more research and found this is gender designed or something like that, which wasn't clear, finally I found out it's female specific. Whatever that means. I used it for a few rec league softball games and I am happy with it, so I'm not returning it.It is fairly soft and just trying to break in the last bit. I don't know a ton about gloves/mitts or 1b ones, but this seems good. Maybe a little on the smaller side since its for fast pitch (smaller ball?), which is also not clear. When I catch in the pocket, it sounds and feels great. When I don't, I lost a couple balls, maybe because it's not broken in and closing entirely yet, or maybe cuz I suck.In any case, dudes on the team said they thought it looked cool and didn't even know it was a female mitt until I told them - oops.

Lacing already broke.
We’ve had this glove less than a month and the lacing on the inside is already broke.

Nice Glove, Cheap Laces
The glove itself is very nice. Pretty easy to break in. There is not as much padding in the fingers as I’d hoped for. But a nice pocket to catch a softball in. THE LACES ARE CHEAP LEATHER. 2 laces broke by the end of our 2nd tournament. Because it fell outside the 30 day policy they won’t refund or exchange.

Padding isn't very thick.
I thought for a first base mitt that there would be a little extra padding. My daughter says this one barely has any. She has went back to using her regular glove. The glove was easy to break in and fit really well.
