Q: Will this dissolve wood? I have a very good old chainsaw that is not usable because the air filter (discontinued) is completely clogged with sawdust.

This product is often used to clean metals as cleaning and descaling agent particularly in brewing an industrial water applications - it is not known to dissolve wood, better to use an organic solvent that is effective on the lignin in the wood

Q: Is this food grade? Hard to tell from the listing.

I use to descale my high end espresso machine. I rinse the hell out of it multiple times after. I am not sure about if this is food grade technically

Looks like powdered acid.

Bought this to mix with citric acid to clean my Keurig Elite coffee maker (read that Keurig used a mix like this, too.). It also didn't work to remove the descale notification on the Keurig. Not sure if it's my water supply or the descale solutions.
