Goya Dry Whole Green Peas, 14 oz

It seems impossible to find whole, dry peas in the stores I frequent, so I was pleased to find these online. I'm growing pea shoots, or pea microgreens with them. I've raised 3 batches so far, and they are SO GOOD! They are also quite easy to grow. I'm using sprouting trays I bought from Amazon. Half a cup of dried peas turns into a big pile of fresh, sweet, yummy microgreens! There is also a pile of pea shoot roots and the remaining husks, which I throw into the compost in my back yard.Note: I'm not quite sure if I would feel these peas are good value for the money if I were using them for soup, or otherwise cooking the peas themselves. They might seem a bit dear for that use.

I swear that after I order something like this, the price goes up the next time I try to buy.Anyway, these Goya Peas are extremely high quality produce. I used them in soup, they were excellent.I soaked them over night, and then put them in a jar with moistened paper towel, and the next day the had sprouted and were delicious raw. I had some left over so I planted them in my garden and they are (1.5 weeks later) two feet high and sending out tendrils everywhere. Very robust peas, viable seed, very nice.Too bad they are so expensive to buy this way. Whole peas are impossible to find in the grocery store.

They'll keep for, like, ever. Just rehydrate them (preferrably in a recipe) and you'll have peas again. I ground mine up in an attempt to make pea flour. That didn't go so well, but not because the peas were substandard, but because I don't have the right equipment for making flour.10/10 would recommend.

Following an online recipe I bought dried peas along with a package of split peas. Made a very good combination @ 1cup each to make a special split pea soup.

My husband likes to make soups and it’s hard to find whole dried peas locally. These are a great value and tasted great!

It's hard to find food that has the right mix and none have enough dried peas. I thought I needed special ones. I had even bought seed packets in a pinch because she gets upset if they're aren't any hehe. The Higgins Dove pigeon food isn't a hit so added these and my doves don't like them so its perfect thanks!
