Fantastic glove for my all star grandson.

This glove was a perfect combination of size (11.75"); color combo, and price. I'm not a player, but I enjoy having nice gloves for catch play if a player (or my own 23 yr old son) wants to throw with me. I coach high school aged baseball players and like having a glove in good condition when I'm on the field or indoor for winter training. I also like an infielder glove as I used to play 2nd base. The glove was a bit firm out of the box, but not unacceptably firm. It took one day of flexing the hinges, and one round of catch play to feel good. It has a feel of my Heart of the Hide that cost 3x as much, as far as pocket and fit. Obviously the leather is not the same at this price point. The Mizuno brand has been one of my favorites for over 20 years! This glove did not disappoint!

I'm comfortable holding the ball and it's okay

I bought this for my 8 year old son and he’s used it for three seasons now (two spring, one fall). We play catch 4-5 times per week and this mitt has been amazing. Zero durability issues, looks great and performs perfectly for him. As a former baseball player I followed a classic break-in routine (water submerge, jam ball in pocket, car windshield on a hot day) and after a couple of weeks of pounding and playing catch it was good-to-go. I’d highly recommend you spend a few extra bucks on this very nice glove. It’ll last for years

Good quality mitt. It is a little stiff

This is the best mitt I’ve used! I’ve had a Rawlings for years and it was time to look into a new mitt. Picked this one up, broke it in, and it is fantastic! Easy to open and close and has great POP to it. Hard throws do not sting like with my older gloves.

I’ve always had old “hand me down” gloves or fairly cheap gloves. I never knew the difference until I purchased this one. It just feels like quality. I also recommend using Mizuno’s Strong Oil and Glove Mallet. Easily over the weekend it’ll feel like your glove and not just like someone else’s old glove.
