HOZQ8-286 Natural Liquor Essence, 20 mL (Absinthe)

I have been trying to find nonalcoholic things to mix with soda water. I took a heaping 1/4 tsp of raw sugar added maybe two or three drops, not much of the essence and slowly added the soda water. Ironically this reminded me of the paregoric my mom used to give me when I was sick. But without the dangers of hat nor alcohol. I think I need to play around with the taste some. My next one will be with a little lime juice instead of sugar. Then my third will be with both. I will certainly buy it again. But I think the bottle will last me a long time. Forgive the photo I was painting before I decided to toast in the new year with this.

My mom has been looking for this product for a long time. She uses it as seasoning in some of her french dishes. She said this stuff is potent, so you dont need much at all.

I've had absinthe before; it did Not taste like this. This product tastes and smells exactly like Nyquil cold medicine. Save your money; give this a hard pass!

Essence works extremely well, but when mixed with 190 proof vodka after 2 weeks....it will not ''louche". I almost would be inclined to only mix it with 80 proof to see if it retained it's ability to louche. It is the star or green anise in absinthe that gives it the ability to louche as with Ouzo and some of the other licorice tasting drinks. I believe the 190 high proof alcohol is breaking down the anise oil it the essence- Just my opinion. Btw, the Absinthe white still louches after several weeks , but I mixed it with 80 proof vodka- 🧚‍♂️🧚‍♂️🧚‍♂️

Great deal. I will cover my door walkway with an American flag. Where will you put the package then? Bottle lucky survived a five foot release or drop into the concrete before he snapped the picture. I have it on video.

Rather than using the small bottle diluted to make a large one we use it with an eye dropper straight into the cocktail. Quite easy to control the amount that way.

It tastes more like Malört than Absinthe, sorry but not what I was expecting.

I followed the instructions and found the result to be very weak in flavor. I added a bottle of anise extract and it was much better.
