Q: Does this product require straightening iron?

It's suppose to be a relaxer and straighten your hair, but it did not work on my hair and my hair is not hard to straighten with a relaxer. I will not buy it again. And with any relaxer you should not need to use a straightening iron.

Q: How long does the application last? One product I used that is no longer on the market lasted up to 6 months which was great.

It all depends on your hair type but with coarse hair like I have it lasts about 8 weeks and I leave it on for about 30 minutes after applying petroleum jelly to my scalp. It is much more gentle than other relaxers and promotes growth. I will never switch perms again.

Q: What is the difference between this and the regular Dr. Miracles no lye relaxer?

I believe it to be the same formula, but packaged in a smaller kit if applying to new growth only versus a full head of virgin hair.

Q: how long do you leave it in on nappy hair before it is straight.

You have to know your hair. Make sure you only use it on new growth,
