Don't buy this
Had a terrible experience with this. First of all, I have a Honda Civic EX (Satnav model) and this kit is meant for the non satnav model. I was able to get around this by removing the satnav screen and the dash panel below it and replace them with the clock and panel from a standard civic, but that wasn't cheap. That isn't the fault of this kit however, I should have researched that first. But what is the fault of this kit, is that it bundles a Grundig GX-3800 head unit with a connects2 bundle that is incompatible with Grundig head units. The auto electrician that tried to install it had a pig of a job getting the kit installed (he said it was a terrible kit). But he couldn't get the steering wheel controls or clock to work using the supplied connects2 universal patch lead. After some research, I found that the universal patch lead supplied with the kit is not Grundig compatible. However I found that connects2 do sell a Grundig patch lead separately. However when I gave this to the auto electrician who installed my head unit/connects2 kit, he still couldn't get it to work. He did manage to get the clock working at least, but the steering wheel controls still don't work. The head unit itself is working fine though, just the steering wheel controls/grundig patch lead that's the problem. In summary, avoid this kit. The only reason I bought it is that I thought this was an all-in-one solution, and that it would be fully compatible, which it is clearly not.I would recommend buying a double DIN head unit from one of the better manufacturers and then get a connects2 kit that's compatible with it.
