Wow, this book is simply beautiful. The recipes, designs, techniques, photos etc etc are amazing. Clearly there is so much love and dedication on each page and this is so apparent as you read through it. I would highly recommend this book and I can’t wait to spend some more time in these pages xx

As a fan of Julie's previous books, this one came as quite a surprise.Like the others, it is gorgeous and absolutely jam packed with recipes and designs but I really appreciate how personal this one feels. The author talks of her experiences and how she's turned the good and the bad, into a creative process. It reminds me of a Japanese proverb in seeing beauty in everything. If you're someone who enjoys connecting with the artist or understanding how a design came to be, this book is for you. It certainly encourages you to get out and find the inspiration in the everyday or to look inside your heart and just..create. Or "faff" as Julie calls it!

This is a pretty book to look at, and the recipes look nice, but it is a big let down for those of us looking to recreate the decorative pies. Many of the pies have fruit, flowers or herbs as decoration, but she almost never states what was used and so we are just left guessing, which for me, defeats the object of buying the book. They feel like half recipes. Even if she had a list of the things used as a single page in the book it would have been more helpful.

I have all 3 of Julie Jones books and love them . Not only are they full of beautiful artistic pies and tarts for you to make , the recipes are amazing too . So tasty and full of flavour . I purchased this latest book to try and copy some of her famous fancy pies as it impresses people so much when you present a wonderful piece of art in pastry and more so when they taste delicious too. It amazes me how she does it ! Fab
