It's an electric air pump FOR USE IN YOUR CAR. Which is exactly what I wanted; we go to the lake, we have a little inflatable boat that requires 2 different nozzles; the skinny one and the medium sized one. I read the reviews on this so I brought along a roll of duct tape just in case...Didn't need it -- the valves all fit each of the attachments perfectly, no accessorizing necessary. The boat's a 3-man rowboat; the pump gets the job done in less than a minute, all three air vents. We also blow up innertubes, air mattresses, water wings... easy-peasy.The cord is long enough you can plug the thing in and still reach the ground, the thing is LOUD but it's fast so that's not terribly worrying, it's small and easy to handle so my 11 year old can help out. Stores in the box it came in in our beach box in the van and it's exactly what I wanted for a great price. I would recommend this to anyone who hates standing in the sun with a foot pump sweating it out when they could be in the water paddling around.And again...you kind of have to laugh at the people who are giving this a one-star review because it's a CAR PUMP...like it's the pump's fault they can't read? It's a CAR. PUMP. For pumping things up IN YOUR CAR! So if that's what you're looking for, this is a good buy!

Very small pump. Literally about the size of my hand. Description states a 10' power cord, which is why I chose this pump, but the cord is only 64" (which is stated on the box). It does work, but not at all what I was expecting. Had I seen the size of the pump to scale I would not have purchased. I will keep it for smaller objects, not worth the hasel to return for the price, but disappointed in the size and especially the cord length.

I did the math on the reviews, and it looks like you have a one in four chance your blower will be defective. Mine was NOT a bad one. I recommend opening it as soon as you get it and plugging it in. If it is REALLY loud, you've got a good one. If it's super quiet, like a hairdryer on low-low, immediately send it back for a replacement.WOW! I can't believe how fast and powerful this thing is. I took this with me on a scout-outing last week and filled up 12 air mattresses in less than a half hour. Two of them were the deluxe queen size mattresses with the double thickness. This thing is the size of a baseball and it blew better than my wife's hairdryer. There were two other people with air pumps. One had a hand pump, which he quickly discarded after watching me. The other guy had a battery pump which had the weak blower, similar to the descriptions of the single star reviews. The cord is a little short. 10' sounds like it's really long, but it's about enough to get the pump about a meter from the door of your car. I just set up a tarp and inflated all the airmattresses there. Although you couldn't take this on a canoeing trip, this is absolutely perfect for any camping with a car.

This is a standard car air pump, and does exactly what it's supposed to do. I bought it to inflate the beach toys and our inflatable kayak, and it works like a charm. You plug it in to the car and it pumps air very quickly. It's also not too loud; I'm not secretly inflating things in the middle of the night so that doesn't really matter to me, but I know this is important to others. I wish that it had a way to plug it in to a wall outlet as well; you'll need another air pump if you're not near your car. But it's simple and standard and you can't really beat the price.

Amazon suggested I purchase this item in order to blow up my new Intex pool. Without looking at the details of the product because the two items were suggested being purchased together, I purchased this pump. Let me tell you, it works and it did the job. HOWEVER, this pump plugs into a cigarette lighter IN A CAR. I had to bring my pool to the front sidewalk and connect the adapter to the adapter in the car which was NOT the most practicle thing, especially where I think the pool needs to be filled with air a little bit more but I don't want to carry it all the way to the car again (and I WON'T be able to do that when water is in the pool - which holds over 600 gallons of water so I am NOT going to empty the pool often).The pump DID work and DID the job.

i was excited to use this pump for the first time. I take my kids to our local wiskeytown lake weekly. Im usually spending the first hour in the 100° temp. Blowing up floaties for them all to use. the pump actually sped up the inflation to only 30 min. However, the next week while blowing up the toys the pump fumbled from my hands and dropped 3ft. To the floorboard of my car. I know its my fault for dropping it but i didn't expect for such a short fall and a somewhat soft landing that it would break.I figured that i would purchase one locally so if this was to happen again i could simply exchange it without any delay of shipping.I purchased one from our local Big5 for only a few more dollars. I was amazed when it only took 15min to fully inflate all 8 of our large float toys. A much better value than this one.
