Sharp!
I'm not a chef, but I do cook a lot. I have never owned decent knives in my life and felt it was time to spend the extra money on some and boy did I make the right choice with these. Comfortable to use, extremely sharp and looks nice on my counter.

I love the quality, and look of these knives. If you aren’t careful, you can easily cut yourself. These are the best knives that I’ve ever owned. You won’t be disappointed!

I was expecting this item to be more durable, instead it is very fragile. Also would like options as to purchase pieces to fill remaining slots

Don't Buy Wusthof - Knives Don't Stay Sharp and Bad Customer Service
The knife set initially performed well slicing and chopping easily. After only a few months the knives cannot be honed to cut easily for even one meal prep. I cannot use them at all for cutting tomatoes, cucumbers, or anything with a firm outer skin because the knives are so dull and can't be honed that they slip off the food . When I contacted the manufacturer, they replied I should take them to a professional sharpener because they no longer have that service available and refused to consider any tupe of resolution. I have an almost identical set made by Zwilling that is still sharp after 2 years. Do NOT buy Wusthof and get a Zwilling set instead.
