Effective and quiet
For me it is strong enough to remove the Radon Gas and reduce the level from 7.9 to 2.0Also operates at a pretty low noise level.

Perfect match, easy installation, quite operation.
I check on the Radon system every once in a while, like every few months. The fluid in the basement Radon tube was at the even level; this means something if off and not working. In most cases, it means there is no power to the fan, or the fan is not working. Pre-tested the outlet to ensure there is the power to the fan. There was. And the fan was quite. Ordered a matching fan, exactly the same. Once the cord is unplugged, you do not need to go to the electrical panel. You do not need an electrician. It does not come with the power cord, but you can easily reuse the cord from the existing fan. Check the cord for no damages! Match wire colors to tie-in the old cord to the new fan wires (power, neutral, and ground), test the new fan before installing it in place. Put everything back in the place, plugged in the fan, and the fluid in the basement Radon tube was offset by the vacuum in the system. The entire job took an hour. In my case, all tools I needed were a 5-in-1 screwdriver as the screws used are universal (that's the 5th use of this awesome screwdriver that nowadays every household has), tester, and some electrical tape. You do not need to call a 'professional' to install this fan if you are just a bit handy with stuff around your home. Save and keep in your pocket like $500. Pictures posted for visual help.

10 minutes to swap....
We had a radon mitigation system installed perhaps 8 years ago, and this past weekend the thing made a racket like you would not believe. It sounded like an elephant had strapped on cast iron skillets and was trying to ice skate its way across a parking lot. Since these run 24/7, we weren't surprised or disappointed. The new fan arrived and it literally took me 10 minutes to swap this out. With the power off, 4 hose clamps, 4 screws and 3 wire nuts to swap with the hardest part being to remove and re-install the conduit locknut.I'd give it 5 stars, but it seems that they should have been able to design this to last more than 7-8 years - I disassembled the unit to see what had gone wrong, and it appears that the lower motor bushing had moved down, allowing the fan rotor to touch the base plate. Better crimping of the motor housing around the bushing would have prevented this.

Great replacement
Got this because our fan was so loud on our old one it went out. We replaced it ourselves, saving $350 doing that. It was very easy to install and ours is in the attic. It is very quiet.

Great for low suction environments
I tried a few fans, the first being the RP140. It didn't have enough power as the dirt under my house was way too dense. The fan wasn't rated for that much pressure. I originally chose the RP140 as it doesn't consume too much power.I ended up putting in a few more holes in my cement floor to create more suction points. I tried the GP501, GP301, and GP201 fans. Where I installed the fan caused some vibrations in the walls, so I downgraded the fan to reduce the noise and vibrations. Downgrading the fan didn't help too much. All of the fans vibrated about the same, with a slightly reduced amount of noise. I ended up moving the fan over the garage, which solved the noise problem. So, I ended up with 3 holes in cement, with a lot of 3 inch PVC pipe, ending up over the garage, and the GP201 providing the suction. Radon levels are within tolerable limits, but not great due to the compact soil. I probably could have used any fan except for the RP140.

I didn't believe the hype, I was wrong
Other reviewers said their radon level dropped to below 1 pCi/L after installing this fan. I didn't believe the hype, I thought it couldn't happen to me. I was wrong. 24 hours after installing this fan, my radon level in the basement dropped from 13 pCi/L to 0.6 pCi/L, I'm a believer now.Installation is easy, I purchased a hack saw, 2 rubber couplings and a power cord. That's all I needed to install. Installation was done in 20 minutes, which just involves cutting off a section of my radon PVC pipe (the section's length should be same as the fan unit's height). screw the couplings on, and plug in. I was surprised how quiet this fan is, I can't even hear it when standing directly below it with only the attic floor separating the fan and me.My only concern now is the longevity of this fan, it seems to be well constructioned and it's got a 5 year warranty, so I'm not going to worry too much about it right now.
