We needed a knife set for our weekend apartment. Did not need a set with 783 different knives. This one fit the bill perfectly in that it has all the knife essentials, it’s attractive and it’s Wusthof, which is a brand that I know and trust. It looks so pretty that my kitchen knife set in my house has knife envy. The block is very attractive and it doesn’t take up too much counter space, which is especially important when space is at a premium.

The ease these knives bring to cooking chores is really a pleasure. I treated myself to a carving knife a while back and was blown away by how much easier it was to deal with a roast turkey. I wanted a set for years but since they expensive, I convinced myself I could just keep my cheaper knives sharp and that would be fine. IT really was not so I broke down and got these and am happy I did. The block is also great quality and these are just the right size for my counter.
