I've got a XXL and I'm 5'6" 175 lbs, it's a little big on me, but super comfy. It comes a couple inches below my knees. I had to remove the elastic in the sleeves because it was a bit too tight on my upper arms, but other than that I love the dress

Q: 5'7", 42j/44i and 227 lbs. should i go ahead for a custom size or tough it with the 2xl?

I am 5'1" 165-170 lbs and I ordered the XL. It fits me like a glove. Don't know if this will help you or not?
