Easy to install and very stylish added this to my quarts counter top in kitchen for a charging station love that it can hide when not in use

I needed outlets that for a beverage center area in our new kitchen but due to no area on wall to put them, a pop up outlet seemed to make the most sense. However, because it would have to drop through the countertop in an area behind a beverage fridge and under a window ledge, the space I had to work with was very limited. For this reason I couldn't go with most pop up outlets, especially the round type, due to their size. So I went with this one and it's perfect for the space.

Installed it on a custom console bar I built and it looks and works great! I sprayed it black to match the room. Love the clean look and easy function.

USB C stopped working after a few months. It looks great but not built to last.

I've been using this for about six months and I am still happy with the decision to buy it. The countertop guys and the electrician had no problem with getting this installed.

During a kitchen remodel, we installed 2 of these in a very expensive granite island. At around $100 each, we figured they would be well made and would perhaps be more functional and different to the many round ones available. We were wrong - after less than 6 months of infrequent light use, both have failed - first we noticed they wouldn't sit quite flush any longer, then one would no longer latch and was stuck permanently "up". A week later the 2nd one made a grinding sound when attempting to pop it up and literally exploded - the plastic is super brittle and just shattered. Inspection of the "latch" that holds these down shows it is just a flimsy piece of wire held in a small plastic clip. What appeared to be a well made design when first inspected is clearly poor design when you can see it's inner workings? Don't make an expensive mistake like we did by installing these poor quality items in a desk or countertop - they are rubbish! At least with round ones you can find an alternate brand that fits in a round hole - there are no alternatives to this one!

I came across the Link 2 Home Space Saver Socket while looking for an option to hide the receptacles in my kitchen. I found the pop up socket to be large and noticeable. Of course I checked the dimensions before ordering it, however it looks and feels bulky not slim and sleek like the pictures. It won’t work for why I ordered it but it will work in another room.The functionality makes it a great addition to use in a side table, nightstand or where extra plugs are needed but you don’t want to have an extension cord. 3 outlets and USB is great because everyone seems to need to charge their phones at the same time. All in all this is a great buy but I doubt I would spend $99 for it to use for anything other than what I needed it for. It’s nice enough to use in a workstation but not a granite countertop.

Yes, it looks clean, but when you pop the cover up, the cord has to come up with it! So the cord has to be able to move up and down with the socket.
