Q: What size battery does it use in case I need to replace it? Is it easy to change the battery?

Lr44 there is 2 on top of circuit board and 2 on the bottom (under the board). My gauge batteries just died (after many years of ownership), i was goung to replace them but when i see it takes 4 I'm just going to buy a new gauge.

No, it doesn't have any threads inside the nozzle. I had hoped it might have that capability, but it's no real loss in my case as I want a digital gauge for my vehicle anyway. It works well for its intended purpose. I did try to hold a needle tightly in the device and then inserted it into a basketball. I did get a reading, but there's no way of knowing how accurate it was.
