I don't know what this powder really is, but it may not be piperine. This is in bulk and seemed like a much better price compared to other brands that I have used (only a tiny amount is needed...use a .01 or .001 accuracy gram scale). This is the first time that I have experienced side effects like flushed skin. I feel like I have a sunburn - my face is so painful - and I am extremely nauseous over 12 hours later.

This is strong Piperine powder that definitely works. Piperine helps the supplements you take be more absorbed so that you're getting the full potency of the things you consume. The dangers with that to be aware of is that you don't want to take this around the time you take regular medications. Wait about two hours at least. And of course check with your Doctor just in case. Don't take my word for it. I'm just saying what I do that hasn't caused issues.I've knocked a star off this for a few key reasons. The package says in big words 1/4 Teaspoon, so naturally that's what I did on the first dosage. Hours later I noticed I was feeling flushy and super wide awake like on five espresso's. I thought something doesn't seem right. And it was nighttime so I was concerned I'd be awake all night. I went back to the package to re-read it and missed an important factor. It says 1/4 Teaspoon equals 650 mg. When you take Bioperine, you don't need any more than 5mg-10mg, so you do the math to see that I might've created a risk. I took some Kava Kava to hopefully calm me down to sleep it off, and luckily that helped, even though I still felt 'weird'. The next day I still felt it, but not as bad. I contacted my Doctor and he said not much is known about Piperine, but it's understood that it exits your system fairly quick. If I noticed symptoms getting worse to call the Poison Control, but luckily things gradually improved.I contacted this company to explain how dangerous it is to have that on the front of the package and that they need to list the correct dosage. They said they'll take it off, but I don't buy that, so beware if you see that on your package. I then asked them what is the dosage. They said that I would need to check with my doctor, which tells you nothing. They have no problem listing the incorrect dosage, but can't tell you what the dosage should be. I can't fully back this company. As for the product, if you take a super small amount that I've noticed positive benefits. Just don't overdo it. Perhaps there is a better company out there that is selling Piperine powder and being courteous enough to put the correct dosage.
