How much would you spend on a detailer?
Brake dust is toxic, corrosive, and very hard to remove. If left on a surface too long, it will become permanently embedded.I have the worst combination: aftermarket brake pads, painted aluminum wheels, and city/coast driving. My wheels get far dirtier, much faster than most drivers, and there are only a few options to remove the buildup correctly, without damaging what’s underneath. It is a total B chore to clean, so I wanted something convenient to just spray and wipe. The first time I used this, I had a disgusting greyish brown layer on my wheels, and I had to use a lot of product. When trying to clean difficult areas, I couldn’t get the debris off with the spray alone, because friction from a microfiber towel is needed to lift off the material. If you clean regularly, you really don’t need much.My bottle arrived leaking, but thankfully, it was contained in the vacuum wrapped plastic. Hasn’t leaked since. It projects from the nozzle in a focused stream so it’s hard to cover a large area. Maybe they did this on purpose? If there was a large spray pattern, the liquid solution would just bead up anyway, and the nozzle wouldn’t last as long. The best method I’ve found is to apply it to a microfiber towel, pat it on the surface to soak, then gently wipe off the layers a little at a time. Could be in the instructions, idk. I’ve admittedly used shop rags with it and the clear coat covering the aluminum is still there, for now. Great lubricity, and no streaks on black. The wheels stay clean looking for about a week, even when it rains. It’s worth the price. Eventually I want a similar performer that foams.

I usually HATE wheel cleaners - they simply don't work, BUT...
This stuff is the best wheel cleaner that i've used, and I've tried them ALL. I like to sparay a bit of degreaser/All Puprose Cleaner first then apply the Citrus wheel cleaner as well (you use much less product this way). It does the job; sticks to the wheel and creates a nice lather and actually cleans. Great to have in the detail kit...

Good product - but not fantastic... it's a cleaner like many
I have 4 cars and all of them have been well maintained since day one, so ours needs on product are pretty standard - we don't get the wheels heavily soiled with mud or brake dust as we wash them every week or two. This CG Sticky Gel is exactly that: a sticky gel that you spray on the wheels, let it sit for a few seconds, and you'll need to scrub it later with a brush. It does a very good job (for our needs) of getting that mildly rough dirt out (it's a cleaner obviously) but later I have to finish the job with CG Diablo solution and brush and rinse.. What I don't like at all is because it is sticky, it doesn't spray. It will come out as a single shot of product. CG bottle and sprayer have been, at least to me, horrible so I don't expect much of them. They only make the job harder to work on. Will I buy it again? Probably, although I'm inclining on trying other products for that first step.

It really works.
Yesterday I finally got the chance to clean my car. It has been raining here for 2 months. My wheels were just pathetic. The brake dust and dirt made a muck on the wheel. I saturated the wheel with the product. It took about 80% up the first time. Which was impressive then I had to go around again. It cleaned the tire's like I have never seen and the wheels were sparkling. I had to use up about a half bottle, but these wheels were a disaster. Now every wash I will use and I'm sure the next time it will be much easier. Great product. 5 stars. Update true the sprayer needs a wider spray. I think you might ues too much product with this type of sprayer. Like to see that changed

You're paying for the brand name, Chemical Guys.
I've experimented with Chemical Guys products over the years, and I really haven't been too impressed with them. Such is the case with this item. At this point I believe your just paying for the brand, Chemical Guys.I have Method MR317, painted wheels, and I was looking for a cleaner that would not be harsh or abrasive to the painted surface. Chemical Guys advertised this product to work with my wheels. Here's what I found:1. The product is definitely not abrasive, and it appears to not harm my painted finish (I've only used the product twice, time will tell).2. The spray bottle was smaller than I expected for what I paid, and the actual sprayer does not work correctly. There are two options, one for a stream and the other for a wide angle spray. The wide angle spray does not work correctly, and I only have the option to stream, which does not distribute the product evenly.3. This product definitely does NOT provide any deep cleaning. To be honest I don't know if it provides any better cleaning that just regular soap and water. Yes, it smells nice, like oranges, but I don't care about great smelling wheel cleaner. I just want it to clean the wheels and not harm the finish.I don't believe you get good value for what you pay for here. I believe soap and water work more effectively on painted wheels. The spray bottle is small, and does not function correctly. I will probably go back to my old faithful, which is Simple Green. I can buy a gallon of concentrated Simple Green for half of what I paid for this product, and I can make at least 10 20oz. bottle of Simple Green cleaner out of that concentrated gallon.I do not recommend this product.
