Get the sizing right and break in a little and it's a great shoe
I typically wear very wide women size 9 tennis shoes but ended up having the men's 7.5 wide be the best fit. Like other people said, the one inner ankle piece is a bit rigid and can give you a blister to start. I recommend wearing crew socks and even a little bit of tape as a cushion just in that inner upper corner of the shoe by the ankle but it doesn't take too long to break in. The rest of the shoe is pretty easily wearable right out of the box and very comfy. These are my new go to shoes and I got almost 8 weeks of wear from them playing ~15 hrs/week

Most comfortable out-of-the-box Tennis shoe
This is the most comfortable Out-of-the-box Tennis shoe I have purchased thus far. The width was perfect. The weight was better than my other more expensive Nike or ASICS tennis shoes. On Court Performance: great with quick stop and lateral movement. I played 2.5 hours the first time I used them and my feet felt great afterwards and during. In compassion, I have Nike Court Air Zoom Vapor and I hate them. Too tight; heavy, clunky on the court and the lacing is horrendous—they kept cutting off my circulation in my toes. I also, in compassion, have ASICS Solution Speed FF2 and they hurt my feet. They were lighter, which was great, than new balance and Nike, but brutal tongue and toe box and hurt my big toes and the top of my foot.Bottom line, I love these New Balance, fresh foam. I actually bought another pair, so I can enjoy these before or if they discontinue them or are unavailable in my 9.5 size.Hope this review helps .

Very Good After a Little Breaking In
The New Balance 800 line was my go-to competitive tennis shoe for about 10 years, so I was curious what New Balance considered a premier shoe these days. Was excited to wear these based on rave reviews, as they have been very hard to find. And yet when I first tried these on, I was shocked how uncomfortable they were! There seems to be some sort of reinforced plastic ridge around the ankle line intended to promote shoe stability (the top ankle portion of the shoe rises a bit higher than the average tennis shoe). Unfortunately for me, coming from the plush ankle cushioning of Yonex and Asics shoes, this was quite painful, as there is only a thin layer of padding above it. With each movement of my foot, I could still feel the ridge digging under my ankle bone.I considered returning them, but then decided to refrain from wearing them on-court and just wore them for a half hour occasionally around the house. Eventually, I got used to the feel and gambled on wearing them to the courts. Then, I was surprised how comfortable they felt -- I got through three hours of coaching private lessons and my feet still felt great. This is one of the few shoes I have tried that has a genuine rebound cushioning effect with each step, focused primarily in the heel area. That eases strain on joints considerably. Then I tried competing in them, and they were quite good as well, although I did develop a blister on the ball of one foot, as there was just a bit of slippage despite wearing thick socks. I would suggest maybe a half size smaller than your usual shoe for a snug, blister-free experience. The outsole seems reasonably durable, should last about as long as the typical "high performance" tennis shoe. Although these wouldn't be my first choice in a tennis shoe, they are beyond adequate.

A Good Fit
The sneakers neatly crafted and made of good foam and lightweight materials that fit perfectly, which I called “A Good Fit”. The upper materials and materials of the sole of the sneakers are so soft and comfortable for the human feet.

Wide size 2EE is not wide at all and fits short for size too
Doesn’t fit right. I ordered the FreshFoam Lav2 and loved it! The 9 2EE fit just perfect. I don’t understand why this shoe in the same size is narrower and shorter than it should be. I can wear them, but they are not comfortable and are hard on my feet. After playing with them about a dozen times they are still not breaking in much. I wouldn’t buy these if you really need a 2EE Wide shoe. I wish I could find the old FreshFoam Lav2 shoe again!

Your feet will thank you
Don’t need any inserts with this shoe, so comfortable. You know how if you play a couple matches your feet feel dead. Well these let your feet feel just fine even after the longest matches. Very plush feeling, with cushion. Nice toe box area, and snug fit. ASICS revolution used to be my go to until these came along. Worth it.

So happy I found these!
Went through a couple of other highly rated tennis shoes that turned out to be duds. So I finally went to the first tennis shoe that lasted me the longest and was the most comfortable and I was not disappointed! Best shoes ever!!👻! EXCEPT THIS PAIR WAS NEVER DELIVERED! THEY SENT ME A $5 gift card and apology letter as their “DELIVERY” then reposted them for $16 more.

Stylish and comfortable
I love these. Great support and look good with anything. Can rub on the ankles if you're not wearing ankle socks or higher, but super comfortable
