Why spend that much money on a piece of PVC?
I have an inflatable Kayak and wanted to get a pump for primary inflation, also to possibly take along overnight trips. I really wanted to get a high quality pump that didn't look like one of those cheap barrel pumps you can pick up at Walmart; I was really hesitant spending as much money as this product is listed for, but went ahead and made the purchase anyways because of the good reviews it has.I got the pump in the mail and it was packaged all ready to go, there was nothing you needed to screw on or attach order to have it ready. Right of the bat I noticed how sturdy this thing is, it's made in the USA 100% Oregon to be exact, which is really cool because I was born and raised in Oregon. The PVC is very heavy but not too heavy that it would dissuade you from taking it on a trip; this thing just feels really well built. The pump and slide action is very smooth as expected, my only gripe is that I wish there was some sort of rubber bumper that would soften the blow as the handle slams all the way down. Despite the size I was able to inflate my Strike 2 Aire Kayak which is a tandem in less than 10 minutes, I had to switch pumping arms but it wasn't that difficult to use.The pump comes with a very nice carrying case to keep dirt and junk out of the pump while in transit, there is also a nice little accessories kit that comes with different nipple attachments, an extra O ring, and lube for the rod. I plan on having this pump for a very long time and should be taking it on some several day trips in the middle of nowhere, so we'll so how it holds up.Overall: Great high quality pump well worth the money, you really do get what you pay for, don't settle for some cheap barrel pump. If you want a nice compact pump to fill up an IK or a Small raft, or to top off and keep as an emergency pump for your Raft this is a no brainier buy.

Great pump
Pump is light, works very well. I use it to fill an inflatable kayak and this works better than my little electric pump.

Does a great job!
At first I thought I sure paid a lot for some pvc piping that has been glued together to make this pump, but when I put it into action, it has done a great job. Quick, portable and effective. I still think it is overpriced for what it probably really cost to make it, but it does a great job and quick to pump up my pontoon boat also

Nicest pump I've ever bought
This thing is super tough and really well designed. Includes all of the adapters you might need.Didn't get my drop-stitch floor in my raft to quite the pressure I'd have wanted, but it wasn't designed for that so I can't exactly take a star off. They do in fact make a couple of pumps that ARE designed for that, but the pressure was adequate enough.River folk are really particular about their gear. When you drop $5k on an inflatable piece of rubber, you want the best to go along with it. And everyone you see has a K-Pump.

Great Tool for Toping Off
I like this pump. It's compact and works great for topping off my High Side Max 12-foot raft. It quickly inflates the thwarts. I use a cheap Wal-Mart pump for the initial inflation. I like that it's compact and I can take it on overnight trips. It came highly recommended by one of my guide friends, who has been guiding for almost 25 years.
