First, the kit had been returned to Amazon so the box it came in had fallen apart. Second, the pieces of wood were damaged either by the previous purchaser or by the the people who cut and drilled the wood for the kit. Next, the pre-drilled holes were not accurately drilled. Next, the two lower legs of the ladder were drilled so they didn't mirror each other, they were drilled so they matched each other and therefore couldn't be put together correctly. Next, the screws that came with the kit were made of inferior material, so they broke off when trying to screw the pieces together. In short, it's entirely unusable without rebuilding most of its parts. A deplorable disappointing purchase!
