why isn’t my lock opening???? it is 100% the right combination that i am plugging in. please help

One of the most common reasons would be that the combination wheels are not correctly aligned. Confirm that numbers are aligned with the line in front of the padlock where the Yale logo is. The lock is stuck in the open position. i never even got to lock it or reset the combo. it is all lined up on all 0s and not moving. how can i open?

There are a few reasons why a combination padlock would seize. One of the most common reasons is that the wheels are not correctly aligned. Confirm that your code is properly aligned with the engraved line in front of the padlock (where the Yale logo is). Rotate each number wheel to the right three times before entering the 4-digit zero combination. If you are still unable to pull up on the shackle, use some penetrating oil like WD-40 on the shackle and number wheels. Wait 2 minutes and try again using the above instructions.

Question 3

I just received the lock and lining up all the zeros does nothing.  How should I align the 0s so I can then set my own combination?

Weird, I had no issue setting mine. Just make sure they are perfectly centered on the engraved line. You should also feel a little tactile 'click' when lining up the numbers. If any of the four numbers don't align perfectly it won't work.

Won't open right out of the package.. put in 0000 and it will not ooen to set it?

To open a Yale combination lock, follow these steps:
1) Set the combination: Rotate each numbered wheel so the "0" aligns with the indicator line on the front of the lock.
2) Hold the lock and pull up on the shackle.
3) With the shackle in the up position, rotate it counterclockwise towards you 180 degrees or half a turn. Ensure the reset pin and slot are aligned.
4) Push down on the shackle.
5) Set your combination: You can now set a 4-digit combination of your choosing. On the front of the lock, there are four numbered wheels. Rotate each wheel so that your desired number lines up with the indicator.
6) Secure the combination: Hold the lock. Pull up on the shackle and rotate clockwise 180 degrees or one-half turn to the starting position.
7) Lock it: To lock, push the shackle down into the hole. Scramble number wheels so the new combination is no longer showing on the front of the lock in-between indicator lines.
