Using to aid with daily upkeep of a pet cage
Here's an unconventional use for you. I'm cleaning a pet cage with this vegetable scoop. I have chinchilla's and a large, standup cage. I sweep this cage every day or two. The volume of mess they produce daily (pellets, discarded food, wood chips from nibbling - everything!) can get overwhelming. I've tried to make this job (labor of love, really) easier by using a little garden spade (rounded tip and plastic coated handle), a large container scoop (flat but curved end and molded plastic design), even a card from a box (thin, flexible cardboard). That last worked best as it had no handle to get in the way, but my chins kept trying to chew it, and it got worn down quickly by the job due to it being bendable and absorbent. I needed a tool that would survive this daily job that my pets would survive interaction with. Plastic is really the worst choice, unless you isolate the pet from the tool. Not an option as I want to use at least a part of this time to interact with them.Enter this scoop. No handle to catch on the frame or accessories in the cage. A straight edge with no protruding sides to catch all the debris in it's path. A small enough design to maneuver easily within the cage but handle a decent amount of mess in one pass. And chin-proof! It's stainless steel. I chose this one for it's open handled design over all the others listed. I love that it can pick up whatever is being scooped and direct that in a funnel-like fashion to a waiting container using the curve of the handle. And it's easy to clean (every surface is accessible, no seams or separate parts), won't be worn down by or harm the animal if they interact with it, and won't change shape during use. It's also very easy to store near the cage for every-day use. And, if I ever do need it in my kitchen, it can be sterilized and repurposed.I recommend this scoop, for whatever you need to move from one place to the other.

Don't chop anything without this tool handy!
This tool makes quick work of chopped food pick up. It's easy to hold and maneuver. Lightweight but sturdy enough to transfer meats or larger vegetables easily. Dishwasher safe, long-lasting quality stainless steel.

Clearly made from thin scrap metal
Super thin metal that bent on first use. Used it to scrape a cast iron and the edge warped so I can't get smooth contact with the metal making it hard to scrape. Handle folded in on itself from gripping it.This needs to be 3x the thickness for it to be effective. This is clearly just a product designed to use trash metal from the manufacturing process of another item

Not as pictured
Buyer beware. I already have the item pictured and was happy to see it online so I placed an order. Unfortunately, it's a very cheap knockoff made with bendy cheap metal. I'm sure the huge bend in the middle was during shipping (came in bag, not box) due to cheap & easily bent metal. Item that came is NOT the item pictured.

Incredibly sharp, unfinished edges, including the handle. Poor and dangerous quality.
Flimsy metal, and you'll need to take a file to the edges to finish them as they are dangerously sharp, including around the handle. Kids should not use this.

It's the perfect size for my Medium Harvest Right Freeze Dryer.
I use this for scooping cookies off of the cookie sheet. I also use this for getting goods off of my medium Harvest Right freeze dryer trays.
