Decent sound for the price
For the price, I suppose it isn’t bad for a sound bar. Sound quality for TV/movies is a 6/10. Music is about a 5. My real issue with this system is that the bass is very bad. Unless you max the volume, you won’t be feeling or even hearing bass. And before you go on telling me to read the manual, I did; bass is at max setting and there are no knobs or anything else on the bass unit itself. I would say this could be a great budget set up, especially if you got 2 more speakers for surround sound. I would definitely buy a separate bass, however. Even with the remote and all the settings, it does NOT sync to your TV at all. I fiddled with the settings for a very long time and I couldn’t get it to match the TV. It works ONLY sometimes with the TV volume. In the end, I just decided to mute the TV and play from the sound bar only. Then again, I can’t really blame the product for This since I don’t even have a proper receiver for all of the audio components. It’s simply just plugged into the TV. It’s enough for my living room and I am happy with it. My only tip is; DONT expect amazing sound. It’s certainly a budget system from a good brand. Again, for the price, 8/10.

Failed Expectations
After waiting an extra two days (though that's just on Amazon) I excitedly received my new sound bar. I set it up and was instantly disappointed.Set-up wasn't too hard (though why these designers put the two HDMI ports in a small recessed cavity that I struggled to get my normal-sized human fingers into baffles me) and I got it working with only a small amount of difficulty. I then sat back to listen to the new speakers. They sounded awful. I tried messing around with the various settings (turning dialogue boost on and off, trying to the different built-in "audio settings", increasing/decreasing the subwoofer) but I could only manage to get it to sound poor in different ways. Sometimes it seemed tolerable but other times it sounded like there was a ringing, a reverb, a phasing, or an echo problem. I eventually restored my previous ad-hoc sound system to confirm that there wasn't anything wrong with the acoustics of the space.Additionally, the entire sound bar wasn't very loud. It was merely loud. At full volume it should have been uncomfortable to listen to but it wasn't. That means that for programs with a low output signal I would not have been able to bring the volume up to a reasonable level.Samsung failed me with this product.

Works fine.
Well when We picked this up I'd read a whole lot on this one and many other's. (I think rting's dot com is the most useful for this) With that said what it came down to for us was the sale price, and even more off for the open box. I took a chance and this time it paid off. This was sold as an open box but in fact it wasn't ever opened until I unboxed it, every part was still sealed. The best part is it just worked, I mean no issues at all....after all the reading I fully expected at least a modicum of trouble with it....but there was none. Maybe just lucky but it worked just as it is supposed to after being hooked up. I'll take the win for a change. Now for the sound, we find it exactly what we bought it for which was just to improve the living room telly. It does that very nicely, there are quite a few ways to dial the sound in for whatever your taste may be for what is on screen at the time. That being said, remember, this is a decent improvement in the plain stock television sound. It is more than adequate for that, it is NOT a full blown home theater or even a nice home surround sound system, nor is the cost anywhere near those things. As long as your expectations are in line for what this is, you will be pleased with how it can sound.I have a home theater downstairs that is fairly decent. This is not that, but it is just what we wanted it for, and are happy with it for that purpose. As long as it stays working like it does now, it's a very nice improvement. I will update if I can as far as long term functionality.
