These planters are so nice. They look like real masonry, but are manageable to move! Very happy with them!

I used 5 of these planters in various sizes (tall oblong and square) around my contemporary style pool. I love them. The black color has not faded over the past several years and they have held up better than an oblong fiberstone planter that I bought previously. The fiberstone version warped, faded and was way too heavy. These are lightweight, much more attractive and they have held up under the weight of the garden soil and plantings for several years. I have let mine outside, filled with dirt, over several winters in the northeast without concern. They are expensive, but worth it. Someone mentioned that they could easily get dinged or pierced. I can appreciate that concern. But, I don't try to move mine around once filled. If you plan to set them in place for a long time--I wouldn't worry - they are made of a durable matte painted foam.

Despite all the durability claims, this planter is as easily damaged as any block of styrofoam. Think "poly" not "stone". Every bump against its surface leaves a white scar where the thin finish gets pierced. We paid the hefty price to get the color and style we wanted, but it will look beat up in no time.
