it depends on what you mean by "support". this enclosure contains a JHL7440 ThunderBolt3 chipset that is only PCIe 3.0. so, while it may run PCIe 4.0 SSDs it cannot produce PCIe 4.0 speed.

if you mean native USB 3.2 • 20Gbps I believe this enclosure does NOT support it. it supports only native USB 3.1 • 10Gbps ORICO Seller didn't let on but I believe this enclosure also contains a JMS583 chip for native USB. that JMS583 is an old compatibility-plagued bridge chip supporting only USB 3.1 • 10Gbps ------------------------------- also: the JHL7440 is an older revision intel ThunderBolt3 chip. it's not USB4. it will never produce close to 40Gbps SSD data transfer. google this --- Thunderbolt3_TechBrief_FINAL.pdf it explains that intel ThunderBolt3 chips initially reserve 17 Gbps for DisplayPort 1.2 video bandwidth. it doesn't let on, that 17 Gbps is never relinquished back to the 40 Gbps bandwidth pool when no DP video exists. 40-17 = 23 Gbps. 23 Gbps is the maximum bandwidth remaining for SSD data in this enclosure. 23 Gbps is equal to 2875 MB/s.
