Why should someone spend another hundred dollars for the Plus model? What does this model offer beyond what the original model offers?

Weight limit is higher on Plus one. The regular is 220 max. The Plus is 300 max. So as with most things, you pay more if you weigh more. Maybe they give you $100 back when you get down to 220! Lol

Is this a good machine to target glutes?

It tires me out and I feel sore all over after I use it. It kind of targets just about everything to one degree or another. I can’t use mine for a short while as I just had a surgery and will have another surgery in a few weeks. The instruction sheet said to not do anything lifting and to not do anything at all strenuous (not even slightly strenuous.. Told me not to even bend over and touch my toes ( I also can’t have head below my heart) but to instead sit and grab my foot to put on socks and shoes) Also to not do anything at all that could raise my blood pressure, so I’ll be starting it all over again from scratch once I’ve fully recovered (4 -6 weeks) from the second surgery that’s to be last week of Apr 2023. I chose this because the movement is much less painful on my hips knees shoulders neck and back than walking running or cycling. Was thrown from pickup hit broadside as the offending car was speeding through a light and didn’t even try to brake during a car crash years ago… Over time cumulative injuries all caught up with me so chronic pain and allergic to pain meds… (I can only do non impact exercises, no jumping or running, no long repetitive motion,  so aside from this machine, I can do resistance bands, slow isometric exercises. The machine does elevate my heart rate somewhat similar to a low key cardio but doesn’t wind me or affect or trigger my asthma), No meds, so slow stretches, prayer, meditation, hot baths and cold packs, copper, and magnets, relaxing sounds and scents are all I can use…I realized using it that I must lean forward not back wards or I’ll have several days of nerve like pain in my low back, sacrum, sciatica and hips so now I lean forward instead of trying to stretch my self back wards… Likely due to the old lumbar (bulging disc from an unexpected 4’ step off fall in an unmarked construction zone at night) and sacrum injuries from family skating night fall with as I fell backwards bottom first with no hands available to spread out the impact, because it happened unexpectedly while I was protecting my child from reckless oaf ie someone who jumped over someone who fell and almost landed on top of my 4 year old…I quickly grabbed her pivoted off a bit while holding and protecting my 4 yo( Fortunately, she was shook up but unharmed he just missed her head by less than an inch)  as the guy who just kept speeding by while dodging and jumping and racing by just passing everyone by adults and young kids (outer area of the rink) with not even a backward sorry or caring glance to ppl falling in their wake…
I did notice sore glutes too but I wasn’t paying attention as to how much compared to all the other areas.

Question 3

Is this something with the ability to be low impact on the back and knees.  That also can work the core.?

It's very easy on the knees and back. The workout uses legs, arms, gluten, and abbs. 
It's less stressful than an eliptical is. I use both and like both.
