How to Connect Your Accessories to this Panel
Thanks to the lousy instructions this panel caused me at least two days of work and frustration! I should give it 1 star but, once you figure it out this panel is useful and it's just what I needed...well, almost.I use it for my 12volt accessories in our off-grid solar cabin. I connected the 12volt positive and negative wires, from my solar charge controller, to this panel and then connected my 12volt lights, fan, DVR, etc. to the panel's switches. This way the panel acts as a fuse box for almost all my 12volt accessories. The only problem I had was with my DVR, cameras and monitor. I wanted each of these three components to have their own switch but when they are hooked up any one of the three switches controls all three components at the same time. This is because the three components share a common -ive through the DVR itself and the panel's switches make the break in the -ive side only. I don't know it that makes sense. The point is, if the switches disrupted the +ive line of the components this panel would work on all my stuff. But, I don't think interrupting the +ive is electronically correct. As a result I have independent switches for my cameras and monitor. If you are getting weird results, like dimming lights, blown fuses and more then one accessory turning on with one switch it's probably because you didn't hook things up correct or your accessories are connected together and share the same negative. As I said, I messed around with this crazy thing for two days trying different configurations due to the misleading instructions. Thanks to my nephew, who spotted something that didn't occur to me, I was able to get this panel to work. He noticed the little +ive connectors on the far right side. I never took them into consideration despite the stupid up-side-down sticker marking two positive connection points. The problem is, these ones should have come with "pigtails" attached to them, too. I ended up soldering wires to them to get a better connection. This panel is kind of old fashion. Lets face it with all the improvements in electronics and reducing size this thing is a bit like an obsolete TV tube. The design is very square and you end up with wires hanging all over the place. The label on the back is up-side-down and the battery's wires connect at the top of the bar rather then the bottom where they would hang down without bending. Perhaps someday they will redesign this with smaller up-to-date components and screw down wires.Despite my frustrations I'll give this panel 4 stars. Check out my pictures on how to hook up your accessories correctly: The second photo show how the instructions tell you to hook things up and it's WRONG! The first photo shows how to hook things up correctly.

Fantastic FUSED Switch panel!
O.K. So I ordered this switch panel with the intentions of installing it in the back of my truck topper, for a sort of "command central" for all of the various lights, fans, inverter, solar panel, etc. When it arrived I was impressed of the quality and the fact that this panel had FUSES, (It didn't mention that in the discription). This is a Great addition to the panel as you only have to run one circuit to the panel and if you have any electrical problems, the fuse to the circuit That is causing the problem is the one that blows. Thus making it very easy to identify the problem.... and you don't have to look all over to find the blown fuse, ...it is right there...by the switch how GREAT IS THAT!...I highly recommend this panel... Buy it you won't be sorry!!!...

Exactly what I needed
This is a well made produce, pre wired with what appears to be tinned (marine grade) wire and standard blade fittings. Some people don't much care for blade connectors in a marine environment, but I've found their alright if you use a lot of dielectric grease. This panel comes with a sheet of labels for just about everything, but the labels that are on it are exactly what I was wiring up(probably not a coincidence). The fuses and switches are quality made. I am satisfied with this product and it has worked perfectly so far.

Switches just plain coming apart !!
This is a guaranteed piece of JUNK !! My boat has been in the water 5 times since I installed this thing 5 years ago and stored inside under a cover !! The plastic garbage switches are just plain coming apart as they are rotting just sitting ! I realize its not a expensive panel,BUT, it could be very dangerous since if the switches come apart the lights, radio, navigation, and most important the bilge pump won't work !!!!!!! PURE GARBAGE

Works very well
I bought this as a cheap temporary solution for my switch panel replacement. Looks just like the OEM and operates well. It doesn't have terminal slots for grounding individual devises to it but it was easy enough to solder everything to the ground bar. Works great. might be less temporary now. I was only considering upgrading to a newer style rocker switch panel but this one works great in the mean time.

Only time will tell :)..time did tell.
This was an easy replacement for the west marine brand that was old and only had 4 switches. I have an O'day 22 sailboat and this is more than enough for my needs. I did however have a weird experience while installing this. After the wires were connected to the switch panel, I went ahead and connected the (+) line to the battery. Some of the switches didn't work. After following the line leads to see where I went wrong it just started working fine without any fixing. It works great now but that experience has me wondering. Overall, the quality looks good in front and behind of the panel...the switches are very crisp when you press them. Maybe it's because they're new compared to the old one which has a smoother feel while pressing. I like it and the price is great. :)UPDATE: The light on one switch went out...this is the only switch I used a few times, very little use too as I haven't even been out on the water since installing the panel. As another reviewer said, the switch can't be replaced easily because it's soldered in place. The switch still functions but having no indicator light is annoying and...I expect the others to blow once they're used. 2 stars now! :)
