It hasn't been easy to get the powder to come out of the sponge part consistently, but I do live in a super humid area, so perhaps that has something to do with it.It gets everywhere. I was trying to transfer a quilting stencil and just made a humongous mess.It does clean up easily, which is great because again, what a mess.I spilled a little of the powder which makes me think that a spare bag or box to keep the extra powder in when you aren't using it would be a good idea.Wound up using a chalk pencil this time. Willing to try again.You can use this powder to lubricate playing cards for magic tricks and fancy shuffling too. I can't remember where I learned that but I have used it on a new deck of tarot cards to make them shuffle better.

I have not actually used the pounce pad yet, but have watched several videos and it looks like I will enjoy using it when quilting.

I ordered the pounce pad with a 2 oz. refill of white chalk, however only receive the refill. I was able to return it and am expecting a full refund. It's disappointing as I was planning on using it for a current quilting project and will now have to figure out an alternative.
