This is a well made and fantastic puzzle game! Firstly it arrived well packaged, it’s crafted from wood and smells amazing! There is a little drawer that slides out with all the pieces. You can choose different sizes of the game board for easier or harder puzzles. The booklet fits in the drawer for storage and it tells you which numbers to place where to start you off, the answers are on the back of the page. Each number has a red or black side so I use the red for the ones that the booklet told me to place - so I know not to change these ones as they’re correct and use black for the pieces that I put down. I really enjoyed this. It would be fun for any age. It’s all well made. Good quality. Very pleased and would highly recommend. Also great for travel and could keep you occupied on a train/plane. All the pieces stay in place on the board and have a nice little drawer to slot into. Very happy!

My daughter has always struggled when it comes to problem solving etc and so I got her this as a fun way to help her with problem solving and numbers, and I am so glad I did. She loves it and comes home from School and asks for me to get it out. She has only done the easy ones at the moment but we are working our way up to the hard ones. I haven't told her but when she is in bed I have been trying some of the hard ones as I think it is great. It is very visual which I think is helping her loads. This would be great for a primary School setting to help students with numbers.

I don't know about you, but I absolutely love Sudoku, whether I'm playing the daily ones printed in the paper, usually to take my mind of the daily delay at god knows where due to some pathetic excuse like "the wrong leaves on the track" - I mean what are the right type?!? But I digress, Sudoku has the capability to take your mind off the days woes, fill those otherwise useless moments of life and help keep your brain active all in one go. You also don't need a copy of the Oxford dictionary or whatever to play, just your wits!So when I saw this game I was instantly interested, I think the chance to teach young kids how Sudoku works and get them interested early is a great idea. The fact the toy is actually made of wood as well, so is sustainable etc... and more importantly like many toys of years gone by should last so that your kids might end up teaching their kids how to play in years to come with the same toy is superb. Wooden toys are also so much more tactile and satisfying in my opinion.Opening up the package you get the main playing board with an insert that lays on top of the normal full 9 x 9 Sudoku game field offering a 6 x 6 version on one side and a simpler 4 x 4 version on the other. The idea being to teach your kids how to play the 4 x 4 version first to understand the concept, then move them onto 6 x 6, then finally the real 9 x 9 game. The game fields are nicely and accurately made of wood so that you get a recessed square for each cell on the game grids. Opening the drawer that is fitted to the front of the game you will find a set of coloured tiles also made of wood, but painted in 9 different bright colours and you've guessed it numbered 1 to 9. There are naturally 9 of each number so that if you are playing the full grid by the end of the game you should have used up all the tiles with one of each colour/number in each 3 x 3 grid.Now having the tiles colour coded is also actually quite a clever move because if you accidentally go to place say a number 5 into a 3 x 3 grid that already has a number 5 in it, the fact that you have two tiles of the same colour should prompt you and avoid you making this common error. Something that will alleviate frustration when teaching kids or even adults how to play Sudoku.Also included in the drawer of the main game board is a booklet with several hundred Sudoku puzzles in it and something I give the company great credit for a small bag containing 2 extra of each of the coloured/numbered tiles in it. So if you do happen to unfortunately lose a couple hopefully you'll still have extra's available, thus again extending the life of the toy. It's a shame other companies don't think of this, it doesn't add a lot of cost to a board game, but having these extra's makes the difference between a game that is still good to go and one that is no longer complete.This brings me to possibly the only downside to this game. The tiles, as I already said they are brightly coloured and here's the problem they are pretty small. As this toy is age rated 3+ years old this does worry me if really young kids might just mistake the tiles for sweets and eat them. I know you got spares as I said, but that is little consolation if little freddie ends up ill due to swallowing some of them. Despite this small reservation I still rate this game very highly for both value, quality and the usefulness of this package - go get one and add a family heirloom to your generation!

This is a nice way of playing Sudoku though it is a bit more time taking to set everything up. The tiles are quite small and need a bit of fidgeting. It is not very easy to use it. True, it helps little ones get used to Sudoku but a three year old would get very boked quick. And I wouldn't leave them alone with the small pieces.The tiles are color coded so the finished result is very colorful and cheerful. Nice carring case and everything seems nice.I do find it easier to just grab the paper version, but for when you are in the mood this can be great too.

This is a great idea for sudoku lovers. My son makes plenty of mistakes so being able to reuse it is great. The only problem is that in books we tend to make a note in each box of which digits they could be and cross them off when we rule them out. This does different colour digits on either side of a tile so you could use this in some way to show ones you arent certain about.The box comes with a removable top so that you can change between which puzzle size you have chosen. This just rests on the top- it migth have been better if it could slide in so it wouldnt fall off or get lost. There is a tray to store all the tiles underneath- however only 9 of these are stored in each row and 2 of each tile are 'spare' but without a good place to store them.The booklet includes 120 4*4 puzzles, 100 6*6 puzzles and 100 9*9 puzzles. What I liked about the booklet is on one side of the page was the puzzle and the answers were on the reverse of the page- so no need to flick through the booklet struggling to find the answers.

As soon as my daughter went home she played 3 puzzles and it’s staying on her coffee table. It’s her favorite pastime since the second grade. She’s now 24 and can’t wait to get to the most challenging puzzles
