Has been reliable so far. Perfect little supplemental heat-up unit. Very decently made. I use my AMKIT Mini Hot Plate Electric Stove only for a few minutes daily to heat my Bialetti aluminum stovetop espresso pot. (My induction cooktop will only work with ferritic pots and pans. ) It takes 3-1/2 minutes on high to brew espresso. Gets hot enough that I can turn off the power after about three minutes and the heavy heating element holds enough heat to "coast" up to boiling. So I save a little power that way.

I bought two of these. One came right away, one took nearly a month to arrive. Both came with one of the rubber legs missing, which shows this is a manufacturing defect, and not random. Also the package was (in both cases) banged up, almost like it was mishandled during transit. They heat up well, and are quite powerful. two cups of water get to boiling point within about 3 minutes. What is really weird is that one of them heats on a scale from zero to 5, and the other from zero to 4. They look identical otherwise. Really bizarre. I've had them for two months, and so far they work fine. Will update this if needed.

Perfectly fits small and medium size Bialetti moka pots. Heats up quickly, but it takes some time to cool down before you can put it away. We use it only for making coffee and it's very good for that.

Works better than other coffee warmers that don't get up to a decent temperature!Some reviewers complained about a smell, but I haven't had a trace of that since running it hot outside the first time. It burns off.
