Levantine Arabic Verbs: Conjugation Tables and Grammar
A**E
The perfect conjugation book
This book is what you need. A short grammar with simple and clear explanations. An index of 103 common verbs on the book's back cover allows you to jump to the desired verb conjugation table quickly. Everything is written in Arabic characters and in Latin script, with an efficient transliteration system. You also have an index of 750 verbs, classified in different categories so that you can conjugate them based on the table of one of the 103 most common verbs. The book is based on Lebanese Arabic; another version is based on Palestinian. The only thing missing I think would be a one-page explanation of the main differences between Levantine dialects (Lebanese, Syrian, Palestinian, Jordanian, urban, rural, etc.) in terms of conjugation. Compared to "The Most Used Verbs in Spoken Arabic: Jordan & Palestine" by Fridrik E. Tiedemann Jr., this book is way easier to use.

This is most useful!
Whilst this book does not have all the verbs that you may require in the language, it has most, so it isuseful.

Excellent Book
I love this book, it is easy for beginners to use and understand, but is also useful at pretty much any stage of learning Levantine Arabic.A lot of grammar and vocabulary has been packed into a very small and reasonably priced book. However I would advise students to buy the paperback version as the Kindle version was slow to browse through and kept causing my Kindle App to crash.

Get this book if you want to learn lebanese!
Love this book! I'd say it's essential if you want to learn how to conjugate lebanese verbs and speak lebanese. The examples contains useful everyday sentences, and the structure of the book is very intuitive. Also the arabic font is decently large. I only wish I found the book sooner!

Get this book! Lots of information, condensed but well organized
This Lingualism book is excellent overall. I am beginning to learn how to construct basic ideas into Levantine phrases and sentences, and also how to interpret others' speech. The conjugated verbs are cleverly categorized by form. Then there's a list in the back that has a bunch more common verbs, ones that aren't conjugated. However, they *are* listed by form- so you can essentially guess the conjugations for these by looking at one of the conjugated verbs with that same form. The example sentences and the free accompanying audio really make this a powerful tool. I actually rearranged the audio files into a different order, based on what was logical to me. They are originally given to you by Arabic alphabetical order, but the order I put them in was guided by conceptual broadness or frequency of everyday occurrence. So, the basic stuff first, like 'to be', 'to do', 'to say', 'to see', 'to hear', etc.Memorize the vocabulary, all 103 of the third-person past-tense forms. Study the variations in the different conjugation forms. Gain additional vocabulary from reviewing the example sentences. Read and re-read the Grammar section near the back of the book about pronouns, forms and tenses. It'll be worth it! You will gain a deeper familiarity with the Levantine dialect based on much effort and time you put in.Caveat: The print is a bit small for me, but I am not a spring chicken. With reading glasses, it's fine. Besides, much Arabic literature is written in small-to-tiny font. Also, I personally wish the Arabic was either slightly bigger or to the left in order to be more prominent, and the English transliterations slightly smaller or to the right. This is sort of a petty quibble though, as the font is clear and the accentuation marking helps a great deal.

Großartiges Sammelwerk !
Ich hab lange die ganzen Zeitformen der Verben nicht nachvollziehen können. In diesem Buch befindet sich hinten eine kurze Erklärung zur Bildung u Verwendung der Zeitformen, alle wichtigen Verben sind vertreten, die Vokabeln sind in einer Art (ich glaube selbsterfundenen) Lautschrift daneben erklärt, tolle Beispielsätze zu jedem Verb.Großartig!!
