I would have given a "5" overall if it had been more Sachiko authentic. I thought this was Sachiko authentic and this is why I bought it. After receiving it I realized it wasn't. In fairness to the company they did not state that it was authentic so that is my mistake. They send exactly what is indicated in their ad. The thread is not as strong as I wished, but it works. Their is a book that gives a beginner patterns that are good beginning patterns. The fabric is the size they state and is good fabric. In the meantime I've ordered some authentic Sachiko thread and needles. I hope they are good as reviewed. I want to compare this kit to them. In all, this kit has everything they state and therefore I cannot downgrade it lower than a "4". If you want authentic then maybe look at something else. But, if that doesn't matter to you, this is a good kit.

A well thought out kit that includes everything you need to get started including instructions that help with the steps required to form patterns efficiently and neatly.

Overall I’m very happy with the kit! Comes with everything you need to start sewing. I wish there were actual instructions for the more complex patterns similar to the way the basics are laid out as opposed to just pictures showing what’s possible. Basics were explained fairly well and I didn’t have much issue with my first repair. Definitely was a super helpful resource.
