Wonderful rice
Great flavour and texture. My go to rice. I love short grain more than long grain.

Great nutty brown rice.
This is my favourite Italian short grain brown rice. I boil it for half an hour with half the quantityof small brown lentils. They cook perfectly together. I sometimes add a few cloves of unpeeled garlic cloves if I am not going to be sharing it with my dog.Due to the arsenic content of some brown rice I rinse the rice well before boiling and boil with a generous amount of water. I stir salt then virgin olive oil into the rice and lentils after the cooking water has been poured off. A squeeze of lemon juice ....delicious and perfect.

organic short grain brown rice
Suma organic short grain brown rice is excellent value for money.we, as a family have been using this product exclusively rather than other types of rice.when , in the past we have ran out and bought a small pack of something else, we have had nothing but complaintsfrom the kids.we all prefer the nutty texture of this rice, it takes longer to cook, but also holds together better, and is less likely to overcook. just use plenty of water and give a slow simmer for 25 mins and your done.5 stars from me !Suma Organic Short Grain Brown Rice 3 kg

I eat rice almost every day and find that this has been one of the healthiest options I have tried. It takes a little longer to cook and slightly more water if you are using the traditional method of cooking it on the hob. I find that 1 cup of rice to 3 cups of water works well if you bring to a boil with the lid on at high heat, then lower the heat to medium and let it simmer. I like to leave the lid with a gap so the steam can escape and not make a mess on the hob. Its really up to you. Add some garlic and it will taste divine :) alternatively cook in the pressure cooker if you have one and it will take only 12 minutes in the rice setting. I don't have a rice cooker so will refrain from commenting on that. The bags are air tight and so once opened I like to put the rice in a large glass jar.

Love the taste!
This is the best organic brown rice I had so far, great value for money. It is delicious and chewy in a good way.I soak it in water for 2 hours for faster cooking and cook it in the soaked water, as it would be full of minerals and vitamins. It is sticky as well, so it is good for making brown rice sushi or just some sticky rice with eggs.

Insect infestation
I’ve been buying this brown rice for almost ten years and it is disappointing how the quality is going down with ever so frequent price increases. Lately it had a lot of empty husks and broken rice grains. And today I opened the rice packet to put into my rice container and I was horrified to find small black insects half way through pouring into the container. They just crawled everywhere and in the end I had to throw away my rice container with the rice in it. Amazon did refund me for the rice but I won’t buy this again. If you do buy, do check it before opening the packet.
