The birds did not eat at first and it seems to be a bit firmer but, I had to use 1/2 and 1/2 of two different cakes. It does attract a different type of bird though. I don't have the little finches eating this as much because I think it is not as sweet as the other. My suggestion would be to use 1/2 and 1/2 of a different cake in the same feeder. The scrub jays aren't too interested. The stellar jays eat it, but definitely not their favorite. The flickers and tuxedo woodpeckers love it. As well as the snow birds."}}]}]}
