Metal EarthDrum Kit

I used to play the drums and so bought this great looking model kit. I wasn't disappointed with the results I got! Its a tiny model and requires much patience to get a good looking result as knowingly the parts are very easily bent which will ruin the look of the finished model. A decent pair of tweezers is essential for this kit as parts are extremely small as well as being highly detailed. Its worth the extra effort cutting away any excess metal which comes from the part sheets from the parts themselves to get a crisp looking model. I took my time to complete it over a week of nights after work. To finish, I cut some of the left over part sheet edging off to make some drumsticks. Great fun. Great value entertainment for the price!

Very good, small size and probably tricky but looks great. I will make it when I have some time .....

I brought it for my husband for his birthday, there was abit of swearing as it’s very fiddly, me I was just laughing and saying just persevere with it dear.

Bought the drum set and guitar. Thought these would be bigger than they turned out to be. Was expecting an A4 size kit but it was more like A6. Not tried putting it together yet as the pieces will be tiny!

Purchases as a stocking filler. Looks as expected. Happy with the delivery and packaging.

This item is beautifully crafted and is very realistic. It would make a wonderful collectors item and is well worth having.

I was given this as a gift and all I can say is I'm glad it's done. It says you need needle nose pliers on the box, I would say you need pretty small ones at that and not just one pair, maybe 3 or 4 different types of pliers. You need a LOT of patience.Finally you need to accept that it wont look great as it is made of the flimsiest metal so it will be bent, parts will break and it won't attach to the base perfectly. Take a look at my photos for yourself. The structural design in play here is terrible, encouraging weaknesses in some longer parts like cymbal stands particularly.The instructions also aren't great. I've never built anything like this before and got caught out several times where I started to fold things and realised I had closed off something I then needed access to. Then I had to unfold it and thus bending parts more than once, which is too many times, and parts start to snap off. It's not very well thought out from a construction perspective.The problem of over bending is also encouraged because the sheets everything comes on (of which there are just 2) have the parts you need placed all over the place. Thus, to build in order you have to remove parts from the centre, near others. A few times whilst trying to remove a part I accidentally damaged an adjacent piece. It should have spread the parts over more sheets. They have the metal to spare as there are a few spares of the really small parts.Maybe, if you're a wristwatch manufacturer or something you might enjoy this? Otherwise, don't be so sure. If you do take this on, be careful, have a few pairs of very small pliers, maybe a 2nd pair of hands and think every step through a few times before actioning. Good luck! You'll need it.

It was so much fun to build and it was so adorable, i used it as a cake topper. Perfect for small crafts but require a lot of patience, it helps a lot to use tweezers

Zugegeben man braucht ein ruhiges Händchen und Geduld. Aber nach dem Zusammenbau ist es ein schöner hingucker.
