Caran d'AchePablo artists quality colouring pencils tin set of 18 assorted water resistant colours

I have no idea why 'sheerness' and 'thickness' are the only rateable qualities here. I give these pencils 5 stars on the basis of the following:Softness - I've seen Pablo pencils compared to Polychromos, but this is not correct IMO. I use Polys a lot and I love them, but the Pablo pencils are closer to Prismacolour Premier in terms of softness - but without the fragility. They sharpen well for me and the points are more robust than Prismas, although I do have a light hand. The Pablos go down so smooth and rich, they're beautiful to use.Opacity: 3 layers will pretty much cover the paper, effortlessly.Colours: They're beautiful. I could only stretch to the 18 set just now, but I will be asking for contributions towards the 120 set for Christmas.I also don't think they're overpriced, at least not compared to other pro quality pencils.

I use pencils in my art a lot and thought I would try these and I was not disappointed.

These are beautiful pencils that are perfect for fine detailed colouring as the core is thinner than most artists colour pencils. The quality is fantastic and range of colours is good that includes a fantastic white for highlights.

Very happy with these pencils! I was looking for a good quality set of artist’s pencils for my illustrations and after reading reviews for these I took the plunge! Really blendable and nice colour selection. They feel robust and come in a nice protective tin.

These pencils are great, very soft but quite strong leads.

I really like these. Beautifully smooth lay down colour really well and blend easily. Will be buy some more.

Wonderful pencils. Great pack size, as they give you the basic colours to start. The water resistant colour stays the same, if not more intense than any of the other pencils out there.

Love these pencils saving up to buy the 120 set

Loved these pencils and ordered the largest set. The quality is amazing. They're expensive, but it's worth it.

Excellent quality crayons that have great colour depth and coverage, giving fantastic results - my daughter was very pleased indeed with them.
