Really great all-around cream for a brush lather!
On 2/25/2017 amazon's description read, "Omega Shave Cream in a tube contains eucalyptus oil and menthol." This is incorrect. This is not mentholated like it's cousin Green Proraso. I wanted a eucalyptus scented cream without menthol and this one is great so far. The price is right too.If you're shopping for creams or soaps please skip the expensive stuff. Try this or Arko first. You'll find great usability in both. If all natural is your thing try Speick cream. There are also some great companies like Captains Choice, Barrister and Mann, or Nancy Boy that are worth a look too.But this tube fits the bill well for me after trying all of the above and more. Nice smell for in the morning, easy to use while in the shower, easy to travel with, an ingredient list that isn't too offensive (in fact it's been recently reformulated - sorry lanolin lovers but it's gone) [edit: it does contain boric acid and sodium borate - debate amongst yourselves - I'll still use it], and best of all a price that won't break the bank. It's even been more hydrating than its cousin Green Proraso. Omega cream contains two humectants: sorbitol and glycerin. I find that my face is always pretty dry after a Proraso shave. I do not find that to be the case with Omega. I can splash down with Captains Choice bay rum aftershave and my face doesn't get the tight, irritated feeling. My face is soft and smooth.I lather with a Semogue 620 and shave either with a Mach3 turbo or a Merkur 38c with personna blues if I have some extra time.

Nice fragrance & great performance.
I’ve used Omega in a tub before...it is excellent.First time with cream in a tube. It is a nice-looking box and tube.I do not like that it seems separated and a little runny out of the tube. But the fragrance is very nice...eucalyptus with what to me smells a bit like fir or balsam.A very small amount creates a very slick lather and gives a GREAT smooth, close shave.Good enough to be an every day shave cream, and I’ve tried a lot of ‘em.

Not quite the same as before
Consistency of same tube-o-cream that came with a prior purchase of a kit including a brush was much more lite and rich than the consistency of this more recent purchase; the cream still lathers fine but the consistency is more milky and instead of lite and refreshing eucalyptus oil ... the scent is more heavy and oddly chemical like. I don't know if Omega has changed the formula within the last year, employed cheaper ingredients or perhaps the batch of cream I received was somehow compromised ... but it's the kind of notable difference between a name brand product and a generic or cheaper imitation. Still 3 stars for lather and functionality ... after all - it's shaving cream ... but where I once thought I had found a quality import product that was just right ... this recent sample leaves me feeling nicked.

What happened to Omega?
This used to be my go to shaving cream for 10 years or more. The last 6 tubes have not had the same fresh sent. It has almost smelled rancid. I am so disappointed. Nothing else works as well as this shaving cream.

Best shaving soap ever
I have tried all the major brands and even the artisan handmade shave soaps and this is by far the best slickest smoothest closest shaves you can get, smell is good but not over powering and it only takes a small amount about the size of an almond and with a good boar bristle brush soaked in hot water and about. 30 seconds of lathering it produces a thick smooth lather, always paint your shaving cream on against the grain so it stands the whiskers up up you get a good shave, Gillette blue blades, parker 99r long handle razor, Omega boar bristle brush, best shave I have ever experienced.

It's nice
This shaving soap is quite nice. I have bought several Omega shaving brushes over the years, and they are my favorite, so I thought I'd try the Omega Shaving soap. I found that it lathers very well, it's easy to use, and it does a very good job of covering my face. You can smell the eucalyptus oil, but it's not very strong. It does have a watery consistency to it, that I don't really like, but it doesn't effect the how good the product works. Also, the tube is plastic, which also doesn't effect how the product works, but some of the other competitors use a metal tube. I wish Omega would do that.Overall, it is a great product that is worth taking a look at.

Best shave ever
I've tried a lot of different shave cream products, and this is the best. It produces a lot of lather for a small dollop on my brush. It comes in a TSA compliant 100 ml tube, so taking it on your trip is not an issue. I also like the scent.
