Please wear gloves...........itch.......itch.
I used this to wrap an exhaust from a Chinese diesel heater that I fitted in a friend's workshop recently, firstly when using the wrap make sure you wear gloves, this should be clearly printed on the product box but is instead printed in a very small font on a tiny label which is stuck to the underside of the box, being this my first time using this wrap I didn't wear gloves and this stuff irritates just like the old glass fibre insulation used to do, lesson learnt. This wrap seems to work well, it's easy to use and wrap, and it did indeed stop some of the heat from the part of the exhaust that is inside the workshop, I also wrapped the external part of the exhaust to help prevent burns, there was also a wire guard fitted over the silencer outside for this purpose. This wrap comes complete with stainless wire ties, the wrap itself is 15 meters long and I have a fair amount of it left for future use.

High quality stuff, but wear gloves
I've had some exhaust 'modifications' on my 2011 Ranger Rover. As a result, there's a quite annoying turbo whistle noise at idle. So I wrapped the DPF and Cat, and surprisingly it completely removed the noise. Not easy to install in situ in a continuous length so do it off the car if you can to save your self a lot of swearing :) The included tie wraps work really well. I did soak it in water to make it more pliable - the internet was split between soaking and not soaking, but it caused me no issues. Gloves are a must - it's like fibreglass shards so be careful!

Excellent for bikes and cars
Review from my husband:This titanium heat wrap is excellent for motorbikes and cars alike, well not just any cars or bikes, but maybe show cars where you're going to have the bonnet up and it has visible downpipes such as classic v6's and v8's. It does add a bit of a specialist touch to a motor and if done correctly, looks very bloody nice. This particular flavour is titanium so it has a pale gold look if you like. It comes with stainless cable ties so that's a plus but what I would suggest is a pair of disposable gloves because whatever you do don't attempt to apply this stuff with bare hands!!! The fibres from it are highly irritating and it will drive you crazy. In this instance, I've used it on my Harley Davidson 883 Sportster which has visible downpipes to the end cans. It can be a bit fiddly to apply whilst trying to keep it tight to ensure a nice clean look but once it's on, it looks fantastic, giving a nice retro look and also protecting the user from super-hot bare pipes and the cable ties hold everything nicely in place. At first use, it will smoke a lot but that's just the wrap bedding in and curing so there's nothing to worry about and this particular brand is exceptional value as I've bought this before off eBay and it was 25 quid. You easily get enough for most projects and if you have to buy another roll, it won't break the bank. All in all, a great product for petrol heads and bikers alike 5/5

It's good.
Good strong quality and looks good. Nice natural colour but can be coated using the correct spray, a heat resistance spray good to help cure heat wrap anyway and the extra layer helps. Easy to install, if you know how to install. It's not very long so is ideal for re wrapping of filling in gaps. For a complete header or exhaust system you will a lot more if you are wrapping as tightly as you should be.

Great value and works
Amazing price for the amount of exhaust wrap you get here at just £15.99 at time of review and it does what it says it does.I've used a small portion of this wrap to actually close up a small hole in the back of my exhaust which was blowing (obviously going to need a new back section at some point)This was surprisingly easy to cut to size, wrap around the pipe and using the steel cable ties, secured it remarkably well.It doesn't take much time to apply and is easier than using one of those exhaust wrap kits you can buy.The appearance is good too and doesn't look out of place, but obviously up on a ramp and it sticks out like a sore thumb to a mechanic. At least it will prolong the life and stop the blowing of the exhaust which I hate the sound of until I have the time to get that section replaced. I was quite surprised at the weight of the box and when opening was amazed at the width, thickness and amount you get for the price. Brilliant value and great for repair work on hot pipes and of course for manifold wrapping in cars and motorbikes etc etc. Anywhere you need to heat protect the user with other users saying that it cut the heat transfer by about 90% in their experience.Good stuff and very happy with it.
