Have used this reel purchased for my son on a storm beach fishing at night. It is robust casts well and easy to retrieve with a large fish on the end.Well priced and machining on the parts good, overall very happy.

Iv been looking for a fixed spool reels for a long time now, I got two fladen maximums big shooter 7000 they look amazing very smooth when you operate the reel the drag is so easy to use to play your fish, first cast with the reels 110 yards the line comes off so smooth so you can get your distance if need be, iv had a few comments about the reels when iv been out fishing I’m very happy with these reels

The reel it's self is good, smooth and well balanced. It does only come with one spool, so I thought no problem and contacted Fladen's online customer service. I explained that I required a second spool so I had the option using mono or braid, depending on where or what I was fishing for. I received a polite answer saying... That unfortunately this model is only sold with one spool and there are no spares available to purchase..! Not a lot of good to me now, I certainly would not buy another one just to change line choice..! Phil not happy..!

Feels great for the price, performs well.On my 2nd as I didn't look after the 1st one very well which is a must with cheaper reals

The back wind lock has broken after only the second use. So unless the handle is physically held you can’t build any tension on the line

I like the reel and have set it up with a continental rod , feed back as it could have a slightly more shallow spool for a big casting but apart from that very happy iv bin able to turn ungulate rays up to 10lb in strong tides ,, couldn't find a bigger size as i would like 9000 or even bigger really , 7000 more of light summer breaming or to stick on my mackerel rod really
