Makes replacement of stripped camera threads easy.
Bought to replace the mount thread of a well-used camera. It worked reasonably well. Unfortunately I realised too late that I should have stripped the base-plate off the camera first before I started to drill the base. It was a 'blind' hole! Nevertheless the insert worked by careful application.The thread on my video camera also stripped shortly afterwards (both cameras are old and in regular use). By partially dismantling the camera to fit the thread insert, the insert worked well in the video camera base!Both cameras are back in regular use again thanks to the new thread inserts. They are easy to fit.

Excellent piece of kit, I only needed it for two threaded holes, but it saved a very rare & expensive Cylinder head. Wizard

Kit ok but tool snaps
Drill bit and tap bit good and sharp and inserts work fine. The tool to wind the inserts in snapped half way through winding in the second insert so unable to finish the job.

Just the trick for my BMD Vide Assist 4K, not a very strong tool though.
This was perfect for fixing my BlackMagic Video Assist 4K mounting threads. The tool to insert the threads bent very easily though so be gentle with it and don't expect it to last for much more than one application. If this part were made of a stronger metal I'd give it 5 stars. I didn't use the tapping tool.

It works
It does what it says on the tin. No problems. The process of re-threading is quite tricky therefore it is better to take your time.
