Beautiful Java Moss
The media could not be loaded. Edit: It's been a couple months since I strapped the Java moss to the branches. At first I was a little concerned as some of it turned brown ... but the green parts took over. Now it's growing like crazy. In fact, I think I'm going to have to prune it to keep it under control. This stuff is great and my tank critters LOVE it!This Java moss arrived in great condition, healthy and mostly green with some brown pieces, and still moist. Well packaged. When I put the moss in a dish of water to rehydrate, it sank right to the bottom ... didn't float at all. I got some fishing line and tied clumps of it to the driftwood (the moss isn't a solid piece, like a moss ball, but rather loose bits of moss like peat), and put the driftwood back into my aquarium. It stayed intact and nothing floated off. Everyone loves it, especially me and the amano shrimp (shrimp go crazy over this stuff), and it really adds a decorative look that I like very much. In time, it will attach itself to the driftwood and continue to grow. I'm very pleased with this purchase and would buy again.

Super Effective Packaging and Shipment. WOW !
I'm very pleased with the Java Moss received. The packaging is superb, insulated well, and the size is surprisingly very generous, almost all the moss is green. All of the moss is green and alive, no dead pieces. Also ordered and received in the same shipment 10 Orange Sunkist shrimp, also packed EXCELLENTLY. Shrimp were healthy and active. Very pleased. Will order from Swimming Creatures again !

Java what?
Not sure what it is, but I have not been able to find a Java moss online yet that has held up to shipping. I maintain multiple aquariums (3 20 gallon, 1 40 gallon, 3 10 gallon) and have yet to be able to get Java moss to grow. Other plants are thriving without issue. But this stuff turns brown and is gone within 2-3 days of showing up.

Very healthy!
I'm really impressed with the java moss I received - not only is the portion very generous, but all the moss is green. If you've never ordered java moss from somewhere else that might feel like a given, but so much java moss is brown upon purchase that I just assumed that is how it always is and has to be - I was shocked to open my package and see that literally all of the moss is green and alive, no dead bits at all!

Healthy moss arrived fast!
Moss arrived faster than expected, in beautiful condition. A big healthy clump of nice green moss, no dead areas, well packaged and ready for use. A much better value than big box pet stores, both in quantity and quality. I purchased this for use in a 10 gallon guppy tank and there is more than enough- I was able to split it and use in another tank too. I’ll definitely be buying more for my other tanks.

Just OK.
Most of it was a sickly brown color upon arrival.I’d say only 5% ended up surviving long term, the rest died and became shrimp food.My biggest issue is that it introduced hair algae into my tank. I suppose it could be a coincidence, but after a month I started to see hair algae growing ONLY this moss. The hair algae has since spread throughout my tanks but I only see it when nutrients get a little out of balance.

It made it!
So bought this moss about 2 months ago... yes it did come mostly brown, probably because of the shock of many days without light. I still glue it to my driftwood and fertilize it. It slowly recovered but in the beginning were moments I thought it was not going to make it. Pretty much it all died and came back. Now a couple of months later is doing awesome and my shrimp love it. Now is 3 times its size. I'll recommend it is a big amount at a good price, but it requires special care, to grow healthy and to adapt to your tank.

a REALLY nice piece of moss!
I was shocked when I opened the package and saw how BIG this piece of moss was!!! I used kitchen roll to dry most of the moss underside off, used aquarium safe superglue and attached it to a piece of previously sunken driftwood.I lightly pressed the matt down, waited a few minutes, and carefully lowered it back into the aquarium t6o where it was originally. It seems to be doing well although time will tell. But I'm pretty pleased with it! Trust me yes, you can pay less for a smaller piece but in my experience, you get what you pay for with aquarium plants and rather than pay less, get less and it fail it's better to pay more get more and the plant thrive.
