All in one tool A**
Excellent for cutting plasterboard strips, not as fast as cutting with Circular saw but there is almost no dust from it.Excellent for cutting plywood, it can be used as a jigsaw.Excellent for cutting holes in the ceiling, almost no dust at all, way better than using multi-tool where you end up covered in dust and you can also control the depth of the cut and avoid cutting any cables.Overall I'm very happy with this new tool and can highly recommend to dryliners.

A tool I never thought I'd need
Had to remove a very specific shaped piece of drywall between studs - and was planning to use a jabsaw. In the end I bought this tool in order to make sure the cut was 'square' - so the repair could be easier. Seemed a lot of money to spend to do this - so rather bought on impulse. On arrival, I thought it looked like it was made up of bits of many other 'Makitas'. A strange looking beast. However, it is absolutely brilliant. Will make super-precise cuts in drywall [using a straight edge] and there's virtually no dust. If the blade is set to the right depth - no chance of cutting hidden wires or pipes. If you are doing any house restoration - and drywall is involved - it's worth it's weight in gold.Machine is really solidly built, cleverly engineered and one of the few Makita tools still made in Japan. Never knew I needed it - but money well spent.

This is great tool . It allows you to cut drywall without worrying about wires and pipes
Allows you to cut drywall without worrying about pipes and wires , the dust goes one direction unless you have a hover which allows it to go nowhere . Definitely worth it but I want a universal battery that works on both and the blades are quite expensive when you break them and have to replace them
