Q: Would this work for a sauna stove, for the heat and that rubber gasket?

I don't know how hot the exhaust is coming out of the application that you're trying to use it for but I have this as a cover for my small chiminea, which can get pretty hot. I will say that after using it for a year or so one of the welds has come undone so the top just kind of flaps around. I tried to remedy the situation with JB weld, unsuccessfully. Hope that helps answer your question.

Q: Can this be used with a wood burning stove?

Yes it can on an 8 inch pipe, this goes inside the pipe and the rubber gasket seats in the groove of the pipe. I would set depth and put a set screw in it though

Q: The diameter of my furnace vent pipe is 7". How does this install?

Go to a building supply store and get a "starter section" and it all snaps in.
