This is a miracle product
We thought we were going to lose our 18 and a half year old cat earlier this year. He had renal disease and had been put on a drip, which hadn't had the desired effect. We made the decision not to put him through another round of that. He also has pancreatitis, so our predicament was with feeding, as one condition aggravates the other. Also, his teeth aren't that great any more for hard food. This is the same as the RC +12 in that it has a soft centre so easier for him to eat.We bought a small bag to get him through, as we were told we may only have weeks. Within 7 days, he had started to improve. 6 months on, and he's put on weight, and has spent most of the Summer outside marauding around. His appetite is great, he enjoys the food, and it's giving him a new lease of life. No more vomiting either. I know the RC vet range, but I could not have expected such a great result, and it can't be anything else but managing his food that is having the results we are. Would highly recommend.

Bowl is cleared
My 13 year old cat, Harriet, has early renal problems. The vet recommended R C Renal food. Got the Select version and have had no problems at all with it. I was told to initially mix in her old food( R C Gastro) but she just picked this out and left the old food! She has been on the Renal food for 6 weeks now, wet and dry, plus some drops and though early days seems brighter even digging her toys out and thundering up and down the hallway with the ball. I'll see how she goes but am pleased so far. Into November and Harriet is doing well and still loving this food.

Ideal for CKD suffering cats and fussy cats!
Originally I brought this for my Bengal cat back in 2018, she was diagnosed with late stage CKD. As she was in and out of the vets, they had her feeding on this, and she loved it. So I decided to buy this for her at home. Sadly, whilst she enjoyed the wet renal food, she was too weak to bother with this in the end. So I gave it to my other cat, who does not have CKD but was fussy when it came to biscuits. So much so, she'd often throw up minutes after eating it - not nice for me or the carpet! So I put her on this, as my other cat couldn't chew it, and she loves it. Merrily munches it in the evening and hasn't thrown up since taking it. Well worth the money! Shame the flavours are a bit limited.

Difference between Renal Select and Renal Special
Came quickly but ... my cat refused to eat it. He normally has Renal Special so I thought the Renal Select would be a nice change for him and he might like the parcel shaped biscuits etc. Alas no. So I ordered another bag of the Special which he has been chomping. So bear in mind, the flavour might not be the same for both Select and Special.

Lifesaver... At a price!
When my cat went off his food for a week he ended up losing over a kilo. After the vets tested him and saw he was at the start of kidney disease, they recommended us getting some renal support food. This was what we picked, and he wolfed it down. He's so fickle, he's gone off it now but at the time it was a God send. It's pricey, but it got us out of a jam. The wet food version is also a favourite of his now.

My cat loves this
My cat has renal issues and has to have renal cat food, according to our vet.She likes this product and eats it all uip. (Unlike other options we have tried)So although it is in our view very expensive, at least all of it does get eaten, increasing the value.

Fast shipping and excellent packaging. The Leatherman tool feels very premium and sturdy.
